Prize rockr is the project of musician, songwriter, and producer Lexie Raymond.

From studying under renowned producer Gordon Raphael, best known for his work with The Strokes, to working professionally in a recording studio and being a live sound engineer, Lex has spent years immersed in every side of the creative process.

Lex developed a deep understanding of both the technical and human side of making music.

As a producer, Lex found himself producing three jazz albums and spent two years working on singles and EPs for emerging artists and bands.

Those experiences offered a unique perspective into the realities of making music—not just the craft itself, but the internal struggles that come with it that he thought were unique to himself.

Working closely with artists of all levels revealed a common truths: regardless of talent or experience, self-doubt, procrastination, and creative uncertainty affect everyone.

Feeling like he was seeing every side of himself reflected back at him, Lex began documenting the challenges, breakthroughs, and lessons learned from the musicians encountered throughout studio sessions and live performances in his journals he dubbed the ‘Prize Rocker Diaries’.

These experiences helped shape the identity of Prize rockr.

Today, Prize rockr represents exactly the artist Lexie Raymond set out to become: honest, curious, and unafraid to merge the old with the new in search of something uniquely his own.
